My journey as a creator has been long and winding. I started making jewelry as a young adult, spent some time at a Technical College. But eventually life took me to an office job in the accounting field. Missing that artistic energy, I found the art of wire wrapping and dove into making jewelry again. As a creative person with a passion for working with my hands, I thrive on bringing ideas to life. Each creation tells a story, reflecting my dedication and artistic flair. My emphasis in college was drawing and painting, and I spent most of my life working with acrylic paints. Once moving to the Portland area, I discovered the beauty of pyrography and the myriad of canvas types available when working with wood. I enjoy the bond created as my original design ideas morph with the grain of the wood, helping to guide the direction the final piece takes. Each piece is uniquely designed and burned into the wood, going over each mark until I achieve the depth and darkness the piece calls for. I hope you enjoy my work.
